Calabria is now a permanent part of our family's Scranton routine. We make it a point to try new pizza spots whenever we’re in town. Yesterday, while I was working in Dunmore cleaning and repairing gutters (shoutout to my business www.bsgutterrepair.com), my son said, “Mom says to pick up a pizza before we head back to Stroudsburg.” I started searching for the best pizza in Scranton, and Calabria came up—tucked right under a few chain listings that were sponsored (paid for). We called in and ordered the Mega Meat Pizza and a half cheese, half pepperoni round pie. We’ve tried the famous tray-style pizzas in Scranton, but we’re traditionalists—we want a round pie! And let me tell you—this was beyond perfect. The fire-lined roast on the dough gave it a crisp, flavorful char. The cheese blend (I should’ve asked what they use!) was perfectly layered. The meats were loaded generously, and the flavor balance—between dough, cheese, salt, and a slight sweetness—was heavenly. This was hands-down the most delicious round pizza I’ve ever had. I don’t go around rating food often, because taste is personal and built on years of experience and preference—but this was that pizza. Do yourself a favor. Skip the chains. Hit Calabria. I had some this morning, and honestly—it’s even better the next day!

This is the best tasting pizza you’ll find in and around Scranton and the Mid Valley area HANDS DOWN. Get a large chicken parm hoagie and thank me later. If you’re having a party, Calabrias is the best bang for your buck and they don’t even brag about it. Always on time- I’ve ordered for dozens of parties/ personal and have never waited. I’m sure it happens, but hasn’t to me.

Great food. They moved across the street since my last visit. I will never forget great places to eat.

Original has a nice fresh handmade crust with a little sweetness and oregano flavor.

Some of the best stromboli I've ever had stuffed with meat cheese onion peppers mushrooms. Also known for their pizza. Nice friendly family-owned business.

One of the best places for pizza around, if you like a sweeter sauce to your pizza you won't be disappointed.

I can't speak for anything other than the New York style pizza here, or the round with sweet sauce, but I'll say here and now that i'm originally from the southeast, and ive travelled this great country far and wide many times over, and eaten all kinds of pizza all over the country. This place- is my favorite pizza place. The crust is great, a little chewy and soft but still fully cooked, the cheese is fantastic, the pepperoni is quality, their sauces are perfect (I prefer their seasoned "NY" sauce and a side of the "sweet" to dunk it in- best pizza experience of my life), and each pie has a respectable, proper amount on it every time i've gotten it so no worries about dry NOR oversauced pizza here. The staff is super nice, the prices are incomparable for the region and I'll be coming here as long as I live in this area.
